B2 Use of Members Only Area Community

Last Updated: 7/24

The INFRA MOA Community is an online discussion platform provided by INFRA for its members and constituents. While free and open discourse is encouraged, certain policies and rules are required to ensure that our online community remains fair, ethical, friendly, and legal. The MOA Community serves to foster networking, communication and sharing among INFRA members and associate retailers for the purpose of peer and operational support.

From time to time, INFRA Staff and other industry members may participate in the MOA Community at the discretion of INFRA Management. Participating in the MOA Community is voluntary and subject to the discretion of the INFRA Community management team. By participating in the INFRA MOA community, users agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.

  1. Members will adhere to all INFRA Codes of Conduct in use of MOA Community including A4.2 Member Peer Code of Conduct

  1. Members will respect that this forum is a private discussion between INFRA Members and, as such, information and discussions will not be shared or forwarded outside of the MOA Community.

  1. Subscribers are welcome to post messages to:

    • ask about matters related to operations to survey others about practices,

    • seek peer support,

    • pass along announcements related to industry events or news,

    • gain references to helpful resources or contacts, or

    • engage in discussion with other Community members about any industry-related issues.

  1. Do not post:

    • advertisements or solicitations unless specifically sponsored by INFRA.

    • any content such as charity requests, petitions for signatures, other solicitations of Community members, promotional materials, chain letters or letters relating to pyramid schemes, advertising or solicitations for funds, political campaigning, mass mailings, any forms of unsolicited commercial or promotional email (spam) or any offerings of non-INFRA goods, services, schemes, or promotions.

    • political messages that advocate a particular viewpoint, unless they relate to our industry and the need to place it in context. While the line may seem difficult to discern, members need to be sensitive to the difference between informing members of issues affecting our industry, and messages of political advocacy or endorsement.

    • any message, data, information, text, or other material ("content") that is unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory, threatening, offensive, vulgar or otherwise injurious to third parties, or that would constitute or encourage a criminal offense, create any liability or violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation. Users of the MOA Community may be held individually liable for any communications they post to the MOA Community that violate these outlined terms.

    • unsubstantiated allegations, criticisms, or attacks on any INFRA Members or organizations, including INFRA.

    • any harmful content, including but not limited to viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, zombies, cancel bots, or any other computer programming routines that may damage, interfere with, surreptitiously intercept, or expropriate any system, program, data or personal information.

  1. Do not impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, or interfere with other users of MOA Community.

  1. By using the MOA Community, users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless INFRA and its affiliates, officers, and agents from and against all losses, claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or resulting from, in whole or in part, any breach of these guidelines by the user or any act or omission of the user. In no event will INFRA be responsible to users for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages or losses users may incur in connection with the MOA Community or any data or other materials transmitted through or residing on the MOA Community, even if INFRA has been advised of the possibility of such damage or loss.

  1. INFRA staff will be assigned admin rights for community forums, as part of overall Community strategy. INFRA reserves the right to investigate any violation of these guidelines. INFRA may remove any user from the MOA Community for violation of these guidelines. Furthermore, INFRA reserves the right to temporarily suspend specific community forums in circumstances where a “flame war” is emerging. INFRA will inform a member if they have been removed from the community, the reason for removal, and instructions to rejoin the discussion.

  1. Members will follow these best practices (Netiquette):

    • Identify yourself. Please sign your message with your full name and store name. Among other things, this gives your colleagues the opportunity to consult directly with you on questions or issues that may have come up in discussion.

    • Provide a useful subject line. Posting a subject line that reflects the content of your message allows your colleagues the ability to prioritize their reading. This is a significant consideration particularly when the list of subscribers is large and there is a high volume of transmissions. Please also modify the subject line as the subject evolves.

    • Person-to-person messages should be sent privately.

    • Be polite. We are all humans. Don't post something to the discussion boards that you wouldn’t say to a friend.  Do not forward a personal email to the discussion boards without the express permission of the original email's author.

    • Ask questions.  Offer answers.  Share your knowledge.

    • Know your audience. It is important to recognize that your audience may have varying degrees of knowledge and experience.

    • Remember that all Community exchanges are public domain and archived.
